Equipping your car with Volvo`s fully automatic1 level control has the following advantages and characteristics: Automatic shock absorber adjustment depending on the load the car is carrying, the car returns to its unloaded height level automatically, stable handling even when towing a trailer, high ride comfort even when carrying a heavy load, and easy to install; no extra hoses or pumps. How does it work? Using the motion of the car between the axle and body it pumps the shock absorber up to the unloaded level of the car. It uses no extra motor or battery. It can do this at loads up to the car`s maximum loaded weight. Each set of shock absorbers is specified for a particular car variant. This ensures maximum comfort and damping at all load levels. Automatic level control gradually returns the car to its unloaded level after about 500-1500 metres. The complete kit consists of: Two rear shock absorbers with automatic levelling and Two new rear springs.
